As a result of significant community and stakeholder interest in traffic and parking matters within the Woolgoolga Town Centre, Council engaged specialised consultants MRCagney in August 2016 to undertake further traffic and parking analysis to feed into the draft Masterplan.

Steven Burgess of MRCagney is one of Australia’s leading contributors to urban street design and the planning, design and development of liveable places.

In October 2016, MRCagney held a series of workshops for traders and community members to discuss the impact of people movement, traffic and parking on the quality of Woolgoolga town centre.

Feedback obtained from these workshops have informed parking and traffic strategies within the draft Woolgoolga Town Centre Masterplan to help build a vibrant and prosperous Woolgoolga. A summary of this consultation process facilitated by MRCagney can be viewed here.

The draft Masterplan was placed on public exhibition from Wednesday, 17 May 2017 to Friday, 16 June 2017.  The draft Masterplan and associated Traffic and Parking Study can be viewed HERE.

Council is currently in the Review stage of the process which involves detailed review and analysis of submissions made during the public exhibition period. Following this analysis a revised Masterplan will be reported back to Council addressing the issues raised by submissions.
